Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar are perpetuating an ongoing cycle of violence where Israel’s oppression of Palestinians leads to Palestinian terrorism against Israelis. This pushes Israelis to the extreme Right and leads to greater retribution and oppression of the Palestinians, which further radicalizes Palestinians and leads to more brutal forms of terrorism.
After Hamas killed, brutalized and raped innocent Israeli civilians on October 7, Israelis have been killing a far larger number of innocent Palestinian civilians as an act of revenge.
Netanyahu and Sinwar are killing any hopes for peace between the Israelis and Palestinians.
